TERMS OF USE
Last updated: 21 October 2026
1. Scope of these terms
These Terms of Use set out the rules for using the KEFI website and its publicly available content. Please read them before using the website.
Purchases of digital walks, including PDF files and WhatsApp chatbot access, are governed by the separate Terms of Sale and the product information provided before purchase. These Terms of Use do not replace those purchase conditions or reduce your statutory consumer rights. Visiting the website does not itself amount to placing an order or waiving any right of withdrawal.
2. About KEFI
KEFI is an independent travel and cultural project sharing information, stories, observations, recommendations and personal experiences about Palermo, Sicily and other destinations. It also offers self-guided digital walks.
The website is operated by Olga Gorenko, a sole trader trading as KEFI, Via dei Biscottari 4, Palermo (PA), Italy. Partita IVA: 07413090825. Email: ogorenko@gmail.com.
Public articles and recommendations provide general travel and cultural information. They do not constitute personalised professional advice or a promise that a particular venue, service or activity will be available.
3. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the texts, articles, photographs, graphics, logos, branding and original design elements published on KEFI belong to Olga Gorenko or their respective rights holders and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.
You may read the publicly available content for personal use and share links to it. You may quote short excerpts with appropriate attribution and a link to the original source, within the limits permitted by applicable law.
Except with permission or where applicable law permits it, you may not copy or republish entire articles, reproduce protected photographs or graphics, modify protected material for redistribution, or distribute or commercially exploit the content.
Permission to share a link to a public article does not permit you to publish or distribute paid PDF files, access codes or restricted chatbot links. The permitted use and sharing of purchased content are specified in the Terms of Sale and the relevant product information. Nothing in these terms restricts uses permitted by mandatory copyright exceptions or limitations.
4. Acceptable use
When using the website, you must not:
- use it for unlawful purposes or infringe another person’s rights;
- attempt unauthorised access to systems, accounts or personal data;
- introduce malicious software or deliberately disrupt or compromise the website;
- circumvent access controls or distribute restricted access credentials beyond the sharing permissions that apply to your purchase;
- impersonate another person or knowingly provide false information in communications or transactions.
5. External links and services
The website contains links to external websites and services, such as mapping services, social media, messaging applications and payment providers. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy notices.
We do not operate those external services and cannot guarantee their content, availability or technical operation. A link does not, by itself, mean that KEFI endorses everything published by the destination service.
This does not remove our responsibilities for services or digital content included in a purchase from KEFI, including where a third-party platform is used to deliver what we have agreed to provide.
6. Travel information and practical precautions
We take reasonable care when preparing the content. Opening hours, admission prices, transport schedules, events, local rules and access conditions can nevertheless change. Unless expressly stated otherwise, public articles are not a live information service and may not reflect every subsequent change.
Before relying on time-sensitive information, check current details with the venue, transport operator or relevant official source. Follow local signs, access restrictions and safety instructions, and adapt your plans to conditions on the day. A suggested walking route is not permission to enter closed, restricted or unsafe areas.
These practical precautions do not limit any rights you have if paid digital content fails to meet the agreed description or applicable legal requirements.
7. Website availability and responsibility
We take reasonable steps to maintain the website, but uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, technical faults and events outside our reasonable control may cause temporary interruptions. We may update, move or remove publicly available content.
Our responsibility for loss or damage is determined by applicable law, taking account of the circumstances, the cause of the loss and any duties we owe you. We do not guarantee the performance of independently booked travel services or assume responsibility for third-party conduct merely because we have linked to or mentioned a provider.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Changes to the public website or its availability do not, by themselves, cancel our obligations under an existing purchase. Delivery, access and remedies for purchased content are addressed in the Terms of Sale and applicable law.
8. Voluntary support
If a voluntary support option is available on the website, the amount and purpose will be shown before payment. Unless the offer expressly states otherwise, voluntary support does not purchase a walk, subscription, membership or additional service.
An optional support payment is separate from payment for a digital product. The relevant payment provider processes the payment under its own terms. This section does not remove any rights that apply by law.
9. Privacy and cookies
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data are processed. Our Cookie Policy explains the use of cookies and similar technologies and how to manage your choices.
These notices provide information; using the website does not itself constitute consent to optional cookies or to any processing that requires consent.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use to reflect changes to the website, its features or applicable legal requirements. The current version and its update date will be published on this page.
Updates apply to future use of the public website. Publishing a revised version does not, by itself, change the terms of an existing purchase or require you to accept new payment obligations. Any changes affecting purchased digital content must comply with the purchase contract and applicable law.
11. Applicable law and consumer rights
These Terms of Use are governed by Italian law. Where mandatory consumer protection rules of another country apply, this choice of law does not deprive you of that protection, including the protection of your country of habitual residence where applicable.
Nothing in these terms restricts your right to bring a claim before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer protection rules.
12. Contact
